I'm in Ipswich. Only 30 mins from Nebo/glorious from either end.

Aaaah got ya'. That makes places like Bunya Rd and Clear Mountain Rd quite a trek...

Did Nebo and the beginning of Glorious just past the cafe and back today, not too much traffic except for one wanker in one of those little Mercedes pieces of crap that wouldn't even do 60 in a straight line let alone get near the speed limit... I pulled over and gave them a big head start and still caught up with them before too long... why do these idiots drive up there? 

The way back was much clearer, only one slow poke but there was a legal overtaking opportunity and I took it...

Most drivers will pull to the side and get out of your way up there. Some just drive with their heads up their ass. It's best to do what you did and pull up and let them get ahead.

Yeah I've done a couple of mid week rides up there and this was the only time not one single driver let me pass... The ones that really annoy me are those in expensive pretend four wheel drives who think they can actually drive them and corner in them... 

Anyway enough of a rant... was generally a nice run regardless

I'll have to spend some time and do some video editing and get some up...

And I nearly forgot! March 2 is a definite goer for anyone who's keen.

6am meet up at the Shell servo corner Granard and Beatty Rd's Rocklea.

6:30am departure for Rathdowney, 15 minute stop there from 7:30 - 7:45 and onwards to Casino via Kyogle. Expect to be in Casino at 8:55.

That's the point where the Kat guys will continue on to their State of Origin meet up in Armidale and I'll be looking for some fun twisty ways back to Brissie.

If anyone's coming from the north side here we can meet up for the ride to Rocklea too...

Well... it's the first two legs of the Katana Australia State of Origin meet up which is combining with the GS Resources run... but I know for a fact one Harley is coming along (his Katana isn't on the road yet) so if you rock up on the Duc I don't think anyone will complain... just make sure to ogle the Katanas and you'll fit right in 

One of the guys has a Pantah actually and he rode it with us to the Laverda Concourse this year instead of his Kat...

I had a bit of a fall on that ride going around one of those damn 20s corners down Tamborine Mountain  Landed left side on the soft grass, some minor scratches, had to tighten the handlebars with an allen key, then rode the rest of the ride. Turned out to be a great day.

I recently registered with Brissy Riders Club and I noticed he's on there too....not a huge fan of that forum so far though...

That's the one AussieChick, give it a chance.. It's alot better when the weather is fine, always alot of rides going on all throughout the week day and night

Haha it's not bad, I just find the red on black really irritating to read/navigate, and the forum just doens't look as useable as this one does 

I'm interested to attend some rides though and see what the people are like possibly even some of the girls only rides, but I have a feeling it's going to be middle-aged women only......

How many forums are you on, Pete? Two was enough for me...having joined BRC, I think I'll struggle lol (considering I still use Facebook a lot too...)

Eerrrr... yeah I'm on too many... and it's too hard to keep up with them sometimes if there's lots going on...

The GS Resources (gets real busy at times), Katana Australia (not too busy), Do the Ton (way too busy, very rarely look at new stuff), here, Oz Bikers (not too busy), Brissy Riders Club (not too busy), and a bicycle one, plus two Yahoo Groups... one for bicycles and one for old Ducati's.

Probably seems odd I'm on bicycle related stuff but it's only for the little Ducati project I've got going that mounts on a bicycle... in my case an old Malvern Star. I'll ditch the forum and group once the restore is done as I have no interest in donning lycra pants... and I wouldn't inflict that vision on anyone...

Hahaha holy crap....my Facebook alone is probably too much to keep up with....it's cool though having different little circles of online friends which you live close enough to and share common interests! I need to get out riding more though, so among these three forums I think I should always have a ride option for whenever I'm free on the weekend 

I ain't on Facebook so no dramas there, just wish I had more time to ride on the weekends! Oh well, that's life right? haha

Having said that it's looking likely I'll get out next Saturday with the Kat boys and so far the forecast is mostly sunny 

Probably a good thing....if Facebook could tell me exactly how many hours I've been logged on over the past 4-5 years since I signed up, I wouldn't want to know     all part of my generation I guess though, to have this social networking reliance...

Yeah it looks that way can't be any worse then this weekend anyway. I'll definitely head out for a ride next weekend! I'll assess my options later in the week lol

I wish I could but I'm unavailable for rides on Saturdays mate.
