well after my speedo light went out, i decided to change out both.  red for the tach aka redline and green for speedo as in green means go fast!! i'll post some pics here shortly when it gets dark enuff. hehe   the setup looks pretty sweet!!

after installing the lights i took the bike out for a shakedown in my apartment complex and caught a case of the squidlyness, i was just bustin out wheelies left and right. i bet my neighbors were gettin upset when i'd have to rev the engine before letting the clutch go.

Yea post them pics. As a matter of fact, I replaced mine with some blue bulbs.  The color isn't apparent but they are much more white/brighter than before.  I found some amber colored led replacements I am going to purchase and check out. I'll see if I can get some pics here shortly as well.

Don't mean to thread-jack but I need to get rid of the squidness.

How do I bust wheelies?

When I rev do I keep it high for a certain amount of time?
I'm not sure about the whole clutch release method, do I pull and immediately release, or do I pull and slowly release? All I'm getting is a whiplash action when I release the clutch? Lil'help

this is whats going wrong, it happens with most newbies trying to do wheelies on the gs500, since it can't power wheelie.  you let go of the clutch but you also let go of the throttle.  disclaimer!! do this at your own risk!! Just posting a method what you do with that method is up to you!! do at own risk!! Ok.  best thing to do is to have the bike warmed up good, find a nice straight away, preferbly empty parking lot out of view or so.  Once the bike and tires are warm, just go ride for 8 miles or so at a good pace to warm bike and tires.  be in 1st gear, doing about 10-12 mph, put your weight towards your butt and to rear of bike, hold cluctch in rev to about 6-7k rpms dont gun the clutch but do a nice quick fluid release, while releasing you must keep the throttle open, dont gun the throttle but keep it at least the same or a tad more.  most people think they'll flip so, as soon at the release clutch they also release the throttle.  keep your right foot on rear break lever, cause to bring the front down just hit the  rear break and you front end will come down.
