Pffft ... Case length trimmer for ammo reloading processes.... Maybe .308 or .30-06 .... Maybe 6.5 x55 Swedish Mauser too (cos I remember someone mentioned it recently and I think it was slips) ... Most likely RCBS brand cos again I think slips likes good gear and not crappy Lee stuff...

That enough?.

slipperymongoose

Janx has it. And talk about eagle eye it is 6.5x55 Swedish. And shock horror it is lee. I have rcbs scales and press but case trimming is lee and dies are lee as well. I have it on good authority that lee scales and entry level press aren't that crash hot. And no one has really bad mouthed rcbs.

Yay.... ... Lee scales are ok ... Just I found them to be a little trembly and over sensitive to wind currents...

How many different things are you reloading for slips? ...

And of course I noticed the Swedish Mauser thing... I have a 1906 Carl gustav! ... Least memory tells me it's an '06

slipperymongoose

Just the swede so far I think mine is a 1906 as well Carl Gustav

I've got some old 6.5 ammo you can have if you want it. I don't need it anymore since I got rid of my 6.5

Who cares. It's free. Don't like the look of it, don't use it. Simple.

Basically. Yeah ... But I have used ammo I loaded 10 years earlier (according to the loading notes on the sticker) .. Still fine ... Dad has used .303 ammo .. That was stored properly... From 1951 ... About 6 years ago he used it.... Bit stinky when fired cos of old tech 'powder' ... But fine...

More important with other ppl brass though .... Every rifle has its little differences... In the chamber too ... Some reload brass that has been used in a 'long' chamber will get stuck in a shorter/tighter one .. Or the seating depth will let the projectile touch the lands and change things too ... Check this stuff!! .. Gently close the bolt on a round ... If it gets tight before lockup ... Stop and slide it out again... Look to see where it's catching...

Empty brass from someone else is much easier to deal with... You put it into a FLRS (full length re resizer) die ... With a tiny bit of lube so it don't crimp the case .. And presto bingo you have orig size brass!

slipperymongoose

Yeah k ill take it just wait till my license shows up. Yeah I full length sized my brass when I got my press kit.
