I've also gone skydiving ( loved it ). Similar thrill (Big adrenalin hit..).

Ahh, skydiving and moto riding, the ultimate pair.  If you've never gone skydiving do it this summer.  It is like nothing else.

I agree.  I'm a total adrenalin junkie.
Skydiving is one of the best things I've ever done.

It just so happens that I did 110mph, indicated, Saturday. I've done 120 on my FZR400.

For some reason though, I couldn't go as fast as I knew I could, coming up one of my favorite backroads (Bonnie Doon, Empire Grade and Hwy 9, Santa Cruz mountains); I could only do 50mph, when I know I can usually do 60. I'm wondering if it's due to the 40 tooth rear (16 front)?

I've had an indicated 115 mph and it still had a little bit more to give which isn't bad when I'm 6'5", 200 lbs and struggle to tuck in properly.

Jared... You are completely full of shaZam!. You didn't skydive. You don't even own a motorcycle. You know what, go back to the "my little barbie" forum where you belong. Pompus windbag.

I have gone 297 KM/h on a GSXR 1K.

I have gone 225 KM/h in my GOLF Gti.

I was shitting myself both times from the adrenaline rush!
Let me tell you, 220 on a race bike does not seem CRAZY fast, but it sure does in the car!

Well I have only gotten up to 95mph. I feel ashamed.

Turkina...yes Falling ( Flying) in the prone/spread eagle position gets you to about 120 mph... head first I think you can hit about 200 (give or take)....

Mine wound out at 8500rpm! I couldn't get it to go any higher! And I'm 5'10", 130lbs!! I, too, had to struggle to get into a tuck and it didn't help that I had an oversized jacket on (a medium Monza II, I'm gonna take it back and get a small).

I guess I coulda downshifted.

38 MPH.  I did 38 MPH on Sunday.  Man, I was flying.  It was soooo good.

Oh well, got to start somewhere.  Maybe tomorrow I'll go for 42.

I've also had the GS up to 160 kph, but the vibration, potential ticket cost and plain 'WTF am I thinking?' factor set in. To ride at 100% on a public road on a bike that hadn't been gone over properly in too long was juvenile.
Haven't done it since on the bike, but have had  the K75 in that range, sitting bolt upright behind the biggest wall ever hung on a motorcycle. Somehow that was O.K.
Weird, huh? :dunno:

150ish On my Katana, not sure how fast i was really going due to speedo error. But the 11 mile trip to work took all of 2-2.5 minutes or so.

To do 11 miles in 2 and a half minutes, you'd need to be doing 264 mph.

I had it up to 105 mph, according to the speedometer.  Didn't GPS it at the same time.  I'm curious now, but it has to be on a pretty smooth road since I replaced the front fork springs.

This thread reminds me of the tale of the old bull and the young bull looking out over a herd of cows.  The young bull says to the old bull, "Hey, let's race down there and jump a few of them".  To which the old bull replies, "No, lets amble down quietly and jump them all!"
