up until about 2 days ago my gs was perfect but suddenly riding back from work it randomly cut out, but it started straight back up again
i discovered that the idle has dropped about 500-700 rpm so i increased it which cured the occasional cutting out, but along side this its quite hard to start usually needs full throttle and full choke.

ive cleaned the carb about 2 week ago and changed the plugs

thing that i did notice, the plugs where black when i checked them but when i actually changed them they where spot on a brown/ grey colour

apart from the problems listed it drives fine and there is no other problems

but i would like to get it perfect again im not sure why its just suddenly done it

I would check for air leaks, pull the carbs and go back through them as it only takes a few minutes, make sue they are synched and adjust the valves in the head to be sure they are properly set

Been over everything in the last few hours

What about coils maybee there on the way out

I think going over everything has cured it seems to fire right up with a touch off the button and idles okay

I think a previous owner has used some engine cleaner because I have cleaned the carb twice now and there's a build up of red powder in the float bowls (redex) mabe

was ok for about half hour now im having to bump start it and it struggles to reach above 4000 rpm untill its warm any ideas

plugs are very black and covered in lots off carbon

If your plugs are fouling or covered in carbon then go back and check your valves and clean and adjust your carb.
