Any one recommendation any type of rear tire for a 06 gs500f? Mine looks to be in great shape, but when you look closely by the rim it looks to have dry rot going on. not real real bad, but I would rather go ahead and change it be for summer.

Perelli Sport Demons if you want maximum performance, though there are better options if tread life is your main concern.

Shinko SR740 or 741 (one is a front, other is rear) are well priced and I'm pretty confident on them. Sport demons will be next I believe, but I was broke and needed tires like yesterday lol. Tread wear on these is doing pretty well too, 3000 on the back and no noticeable change except a little flattening in the middle from the stupid straight roads around here

after the original battleax..wore out...I went with Avon Roadriders.....I would say more toward the long tread  life than max cornering and stopping........but just fine for my long commuting.

I am currently using Diablo Rosso II's. Only cost slightly more than the sports demons. Seem to go Ok.

I have same, very good tire.

Agree, the Rosso II's will transform the handling. 140X70X17. Made for the Ninja 205 racing class, same rim size as our GS.
I know my user name sucks but I have a cam in my name and cams in my bike.

I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

I have the Rosso II's as well, they are great tires, but after only about 2k miles they are already getting quite worn down in the center.

IAmSpartacus

The Rossos are more of a track tyre while the Demon Sports are more of a touring tyre, so they will last longer.

Thanks for suggestions all, I'm going to look up each and compare them tonight.
