As some of you know, I have been trying to pick out a color for the bike for some time.

Here are the latest colors.

They are Emerald Green, Deep Orange, Gold and Apple Red. Each of them have a holographic effect with the gold being more pronounced than the rest. I will have a video on YouTube tomorrow with them in the sunlight

I think the green pops real nice, and the  apple red(If that's the lighter color red one) or both really good colors. I never been a fan of gold colors, normally they turn out to look like vomit on wheels. I know its sucks picking out a color, i been picking a color for my truck for 3 years now believe it or not.

I wouldn't go with any of those the glitter might attract Kesha!

ToneZone

I would go with the green or the rust color but the flake is pretty intense on those.

I want to do my tank and rears in a flat drab green soon

I understand completely. This is my 3rd set of colors Ive painted and still havent decided. But this has to be finished by May (Bike week) so Im running out of time :(

Orange- but I'm biased  :D

I like it because it's sporty, but less used than red and yellow. Gold is too gaudy and green just has too many military and farm implement connotations in my mind for use on a bike. But hey, that's just me.

Regardless of your color choice, that metal flake is intense! Oh, and I like your engine kill switch covers- very unique  8)

Time for me!  :flipoff:

Personally I think they are all far too sparkly.

Suzuki colors have very subtle sparkle. usually only can be noticed under strong, direct light. Then it is like a special treat to get to see the sparkle!

Go with a plain color. Then mist it with a duplicolor metal sparkle paint. They have one that changes colors (rainbow like) under bright sun. Rather than go per the directions, I have lightly misted things like the black seat for Junior and Phenix. a hint of sparkle. Just enough to be attractive without jumping out at you and going

* * * * * I SPARKLE! * * * * *

I'm with Adidasguy on this one: not my cup of tea.

But hey, it's all cosmetic, so whetever floats your boat... ;)

Sorry I don't like any of them,.....too much flake and the colors are off to me  :dunno_black: but if you like then go for it!

I know flakes are for everyone but solid colors are SO boring and bland. Sure they look good but everyone has them.

I know it would be a PITA, but how about a solid color gloss basecoat (like black) with some type of striping pattern in one of those colors?  I tend to agree with the others that have previously stated that it is a LOT of flake and sparkle.  I think the vibrance of the entire bike painted in any of those colors would be over the top.  It's your ride though; go with what you like!

Don't let all these naysayers rain on your parade- even if it is over the top, it'll be yours, it'll be unique and it will get attention. One of the only drawbacks of putting your ideas on a public forum like this is the gravitational pull of conformity.

The in-between is a candy color. Junior is Candy Antares Red. There are other Suzuki candy colors.
Candy is a sparkly under coat with a translucent color coat on top. You get color with some sparkle. Candy colors take skill because the top coat is translucent and it has the color. The base coat on many Suzuki candy colors is a white sparkle. If you get too much top coat: darker color. Too little: a light color. Takes skill (or lick in my case) to match candy colors and be consistent on the amount of color coat you apply.

I like paint with pearl and metal flacks better the solid colors and even better then the suzuki paint jobs. You have to be right up on it to see any sparkles at all. Overall its your bike and if you like metal/pearl flacks by all means do it, it only as to satisfied you.

I always wanted to do a white paint job with orange metal flacks(not flooded with it, but a decent amount), and have the cowlhood scoop painted orange down the side of the scoop on both sides or whatever its called., yes i said that right. I'm stuck between that or copper color for my truck. I painted a car based on what all my buddy's suggested once years back when i was younger, it was a $2800 mistake i hated up until i sold the car(next guy loved it though).

I just watched your video on these, and must say the gold one looked terrible in the sun to me. The orange one looks a lot better in the video then the pics, I actually liked it.

When life gives you lemons paint that sheet GOLD!!

Actually how about the flat black one with the fenders removed and the seat hacked in half with a chain saw? Oh wait, was that an option?   :icon_twisted:
