I finally decided to tackle the daunting task of replacing the terribly done jerry rigged scooter headlight. It was a real PITA! But I finally got it done with a little help from Adidas over the phone. Here are some pictures of the scooter headlight that she had on her:

It was oh so terribly sloppy... It had to be removed and replaced with the front section of this nice wiring harness I received from Adidas:

So, I decided to chop it right before it heads into the headlight bucket. Like so:

I then proceeded to strip the wires and began wondering what kind of mess I got myself into...

Long story short, I connected them all to the right place and now it works beautifully with a little help from Adidas!

Caught it just at the right time so all the indicator lights were on. So pretty.

Loving the new headlight! So much better than the stupid scooter headlight that never had a high beam, and now everything works
perfectly.

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

If your state has inspection, you could get dinged. If you have an accident and someone said they couldn't see your turn signal, lawyers could get pissy if the find they are not DOT approved. Just a bit of protection just-in-case.

Sooooo glad I live in Europe, where thoughts like this NEVER cross my mind.
I sometimes think these excessive lawsuits are only a stereotype used in movies, but apparently they're actually real.
Real enough to make you think about getting sued, even before you get on your bike.

(Just saying that I love America in general: some people jump on every 'anti-American' thing they see on a forum...)

Just did my usual commute today... in the damn rain again! I swear it only rained twice today... once when leaving for work, and once when leaving for hom...  >:(

I will have to wash/polish it again soon now... but that's a good thing  :D

That back tire looks huge.  What size is it?

Ahhh.  No wonder it looked odd.  It's a full inch bigger radius than the stock 130/70-17 tires.  I'm not sure what kind of problems you might have with that tire, but I'm sure others might speak up.  I do know it changes the steering geometry, and might create the possibility of rubbing the fender.

Took her top off so I can mount the f headlight in there

(Really i put air in the old tire that was on the bike when I got it and the sidewall pretty much eroded before my eyes. Have to wait for a tire to come in before I can do any ride so may as well tool around a bit.)

What's that black thing in the upper left with the bicycle wheels?

I always put new rubber on a bike. Too many wet, slippery streets here to trust old, hard rubber.

That my friend is a paintball tank (my roommate does a lot of "scenario" paintball).

Yeah glad I learned my lesson on that tire at an air pump and not doing 70 on the freeway.

Replaced timing assembly and timing cover. She's running just fine again. Just needs a new pair of handlebars, and I'll probably stick an SV650 throttle tube on there while the handlebars are off.

Topped off oil and gas and lubed chain and took a pretty nice ride around and met up with some friends. However, I got dog poo on the right foot peg :(
