As I said DO NOT HIT WITH HAMMER as the nut IS welded in as they are stock clip-ons. Adidas was off his game.

2005 bike with stock bars is rubber bushing.

I searched and saw pix with 89's and corrected my post which was at the same time he was posting so he didn't see my edited post.

And to be honest the first thing i did when i saw the thing welded in was whack it with a hammer

Yes you were!! I did not even look at the age of the bike cause in this case it was irrelevant!! I looked at the photo of the bar and knew straight away it was an oem clip-on bar so neener neener neener back at you.
Oh yeah you go to somewhere else then we dont want your kind here anyway

My 07 has 89 clips ons and in the bars are welded nuts in place with 6mm threads.
