Topped off oil and gas and lubed chain and took a pretty nice ride around and met up with some friends. However, I got dog poo on the right foot peg :(

:icon_lol: You now have another thing you can do for your bike today.  :thumb:

I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Retuned the carbs and got the bike running oh-so-perfectly. Then on the way home from getting some food I hear 'pop-pshh pshh pshh'. Minor vacuum leak in the right cylinder
I guess the bike wants another wrenching day tomorrow. Hopefully won't need a part.

Swapped the forks and tyre and tacho cable and front guard

Washed all the salt off it.  :D

You take it surfing?

Na , just sea spray from up at the top end of the beach road on the Goldie ( Gold Coast )  , at least need to rinse it , but did the right thing and gave it a wash.  :)

Hot water (as hot as you can handle) is the best thing for breaking down salt crystals. I used to live on the Sunny Coast (Coolum) Cold water is only good for dirt.  :thumb:

Good news, vacuum leak just turned out to be a missing vacuum cap.

Also ratchet strapped my gas tank. No more rattles!

Needs a good wash now.

So that's why my mate told me to do that when I was younger when I washed his boat. I've learnt my new thing for the day. Haven't given it a second thought after all these years.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

A ratchet strapped tank?

Broke the whole rear end down earlier today. Started trying to retrofit my new Bandit 600 rear hugger for my 160 tire and chrome Katana rims. Also took off the rear caliper completely. I have new pads to go in the front and rear. Calipers are getting stripped and painted. Rear sets are being swapped out also.
