Hey guys, looking for a newer style OEM gas cap for my '04 tank. Preferably the kind that flips up but doesn't come completely off the tank!

I have a '93 fender, tank, seat, and plastics also if that helps anyone that may want to trade?

All gas caps operate that way. If you have one that doesn't, it is not OEM.
All years are compatible.

Color and condition of tank and plastics? Picture?

Well that answers one question. Condition of the seat is great, no rips/tears/etc. Tank is in shaZam! shape. Plastics are all good except the left side has a small hole in it. You can find pictures in this thread: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=63523.0

I'd be willing to trade the plastics, or the seat. Because I'm sure you don't want that tank lol

Well, honestly, things in better shape I have thrown in the dumpster. If you only need a gas cap, I have a spare. I'll locate it tonight. Were you going to re-key it? If not, I have to make a duplicate key. Its the one that came on an 89 tank and had the same key as Suzi. (I lucked out on that one)

I figured as much judging by the show quality appearance all your bikes have!

I was not planning to re-key, my hope was to buy a cap with a key. I bought a tank off of a member here that was supposed to come with a key. Key got lost in shipping, and he's been giving me the run around it seems for the past month about making a duplicate and getting it shipped here, so I just mutilated the cap to get it off and replaced with my old gas cap that takes a screw driver to open for now

Any update on that cap Addidas?

Found the one from the Netherlands that matches Suzi's key. New key is like $5 (make copy of Suzi's key) so with postage I guess like $15.

That gas cap came on a tank I bought and Suzi's key fit it perfectly. So I got a free gas cap with the tank. Fortunately the tank inside was clean, too and it was a 1989 red with the black & white pin stripe.
I'll ride Suzi tomorrow and get get key copied for you.
