I was reading an article the other day and the person mentioned that they always use high beam whilst riding day or night...

How many of you do this?  :dunno_black:

I use high beam during the day. Not at night.

Hey. If it is annoying them during the day it's a +1 for me. It means they've seen me.

True... I'm thinking use it, it amazing how they keep pulling out on you and you have your headlight on... :o  Surely they (car drivers) can see, (not)  :dunno_black:    So I go for a good scoot yesterday with high beam on all the time (day light hours) never happened once.. High beam for me from now on!  :D

High beam AND dual fog lights.

High all the time is why people lose the blue cap. That lamp heats it up and it softens the glue and it pops off. LED indicator will prevent that.

I dont think you would get pinged from the boys for the daytime use unles they were anal. Just dont do it at night. Oh and keep an eye on your little blue cap as it will probably come unglued and fall out.

Don't worry. They will still wanna pull out in front of you and cut you off. No one can see high beam when they are texting or check FB on there phones.

Maybe it's just me ... But I usually get a mental image of the "hi beam on all the time" crowd as being nearly the same as the "a loud exhaust is a safe/good exhaust" crowd..... 'They' state it as being SAFER ... But will never admit that it's also a large part of their personal 'rebellion against the man!' ....

I am not saying here that modifying an exhaust is bad or pointless ... Because we know it can have performance improvements ... No argument there.... But I just think somehow that if a ultimate performance exhaust was developed that happened to be almost silent ... It would be howled down by the loud crowd as wrong-ish somehow?!

Anyway .. My initial thought point ... As usual has been diverted by myself again ...

I don't think that hi-beam should be relied on or 'felt as a safety net' ...

Not saying anyone here assumes they are bulletproof  with high beam and or loud exhaust ... But I have heard it voiced before in groups of riders....

Personally I subscribe to the watch everywhere and everyone all the time brigade!! .. Not fearful! .. Just very very watchful!!

Anyone that rides ... Watches for riders when they in a car?! .. Is that safe to say? ... And only a (very) small section of cage only drivers watch out properly for riders?... Maybe an exaggeration but that's how it can feel at times yeah?..

... So how do we know who is a rider?.... Impossible! ... So watch everyone!!
