That's what you want - just not THAT one. It is damaged.
I'm sure someone has one if you post a want to buy.
I can see if I have an extra one. I have extra brackets. The bracket keeps it from vibrating. It really is held on with 2 small bolts.

Let's hope the engine wasn't damaged. If you never had it running, you could be OK.

It is easy to mount. One bracket goes where the horn is - those 2 bolts that hold the frame together. And I recall you drill a hole in the triangle plate where the 2 frame sides join at the steering stem. Pretty simple.

It ran once, maybe for 2-3 seconds.. :dunno_white: Man, this is going to suck if the engine goes bad, again.. Never gonna get over this dumba** :bs: mistake..

Did you make the bracket from scratch? Can you post a pic of the bike with the oil cooler on?

adidasguy

Brackets I have. It only prevents the lower part from vibrating. It is held by the 2 bolts in the top.
Drill 2 holes and its on.
Bracket also positions it in the right place. Like I said, not essential but nice to have. It is under the left of the cooler and can't be seen.

I have not located a spare oil cooler yet. Still looking.
Only found one spare oil cooler line so far.
Bracket - not a problem.

Thanks for all the help. I will give it a few days and keep searching as well. After that, I will try to see what ebay has to offer. Thanks again for all the help!
If Emilia runs after the oil cooler is bolted on, it will be a real miracle!
Man, don't want to get rid of her now. I have come so far with this swap and in general (rode it from AZ to OK once..just on a whim :icon_lol:)

adidasguy

It is good. I've ordered from them before.
Do you want to wait 2 more weeks? 6 days on the auction!  :icon_eek:

From Pinwall, you BUY IT NOW. I think you'd be OK spending a few dollars more to get the parts now rather than waiting 2 weeks (auction+shipping).

Your call on that.

I am waiting to hear back from a member here who has it. Did you find anything @adidasguy?

adidasguy

No I didn't. I thought I had a spare. I may have sold it to someone last year.

What I have done so far:
Added the oil cooler assembly
Recharged the batteries
Removed spark plugs and ran the bike for 5-10 seconds to let oil flow through the engine
I started my bike. It was hard to start so I put it in choke. It started but the engine would not stay running. There was a popping noise intermittently, also there was smoke from the engine near the exhuast pipe attachment. There was some oil dripping near the oil cooler line attachment to the engine.
Here is a link to the video with the popping noise: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kr4is4ltdcn3aq7/2013-04-24%2019.36.51.m4v
