Laid my GS down Sunday night in Nashville when car cut me off. 60mph so it was not pretty, but i have not really seen bike since that night and still waiting on pics from agent(aswell as word from them on outcome). Few cuts etc and turn muscle in leg. The car never stopped, so its out of my packet more then likely to fix it (if i do, again depends on condition of it). Its still in Nashville in a tow lot, guy said he would not charge me storage since he rides and understands shaZam! happens.

Oh well, thought i would let you guys know why i was not around on forums and probably wont be for the next few days.

Sux man.  Glad you aren't worse off!  I can't believe the ass hole left the scene.  Good luck with getting the bike back on the road.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Glad you still 'upright' bro!, .. 60mph is not a pretty speed to have an accident in/on anything

hope your body injuries heal easy... and hope the bike is recoverable.... and hope someone says tthey saw the plate of the car or something...

atgatt for the win?

F***ing cagers!! The don't even see the shaZam! they make!
Hope you don't have much to heal/fix!
If it was a left handed "lay down", check the stator before riding the bike! These falls tend to loosen the magnets in the stator, and then they make their way to the engine!!

Always a shame to hear something like this has happened, but always good to see the rider himself coming online to tell the tale.
At 60mph there's a good chance you're not getting back up.

Get better soon, I hope your bike can still be fixed...

Matty.V

Get well soon hope your bike's not to bad! Bloody cagers!

It was, slid on left side and hit a curve and flipped over on the right side into some scrubs/bush's. I found one with same paint scheme as mine with a bad engine I may buy if mine is totaled. Only difference is it as white tail section... Insurance is waiting on police report that still as not been sent to them, but insurance wont pay that much since i had comprehensive(I think its covered though). If my engine is salvageable I'll stick it in this new bike i found cheap. I just have to drive down to lot in TN to pick it up when I can get around to it.

Oh well guess pricks live everywhere.

Good to hear youre ok, and hope they find the driver that cau :sad:sed it all.
And youre right, they do live everywhere. Near my place theres a road i refuse to take my bike down. More than once a year theres a rider either hospitalized or killed on the road cause no one pays attention there. I know accidents happen anywhere any time, but this road seems to be the worst near me.

Update: Insurance totaled the bike and cut me a check. It bent the forks and tweaked the frame. My buddy that lives in TN as unbolt the engine and is bring it to me next week(left the frame etc to the tow lot place to scrap since he stored it for free). He pulled cover off and stater/mag is good.

I bought that bike i was talking about with bad engine, he had a oil leak and he son used the bike for work one week and "forgot to check oil". It was bone dry, i checked it when looking at it. Anyhow i have one question, the bike as a gsxr 1000 exhaust pipe on it? It actually looks good, but would that effect the bike if i leave it on?

P.S; Same model i had, 06 gs 500f

It's good to hear you are ok and sound like you are in good spirits with all things considering.

I come to realize there is no point in getting upset with what is already done, cant change it and thanks.
