Looking for a rack for my 09 GS500F, and ran across this:

Has anyone tried them? I'm a bit concerned that they wouldn't fit.

I didn't see it mentioned in the "Let's talk about rackshttp://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=53281.0" thread (and it's been a long time since someone posted to that thread). If I should have posted elsewhere - apologies in advance.

The price looks good, but I don't see how it would mount or where you could find mounting hardware there on the Web site.

Those jcwhitney racks you link don't look like anything that would fit a GS500 to me.  Try a search for "racks" and you'll get a lot of hits although there aren't a lot of options here in US, many more in EU and AU.  If you just want a tubular rack for soft luggage there is the Rentec rack or if you want to mount a hard case there are Givi, SW-Motech, and others you should turn up in the search.

Looks like both of you confirmed my concerns. I am leaning towards a Givi or SW-Motech. The price was just too good on the ones from JCWhitney not to ask about them. Thanks for the answers!

I have never ever found anything of value at JC Whitney for GS500's. They just blanket any search with  "You can fine ___your search___ now at JS Whitney! Click HERE!"

You can get Renntec at intobikes.co.uk

I just got in a rear rack and engine bars for my EX500. Fast service.

Other places have SW Motec. Just search and they will turn up.
