I traded my old wore out Suzuki GS250T for this bike.  This bike is a 2000 model with some '96 bodywork on it that is thrashed.  Story behind this bike is the man I traded with bought it wrecked a year or so ago and came across a '96 model GS for parts.  He used '96 parts to get it on the road again because he wanted his now ex wife to learn to ride 'cuz they all ride Busa's and Gixxer's.  Well, he loaned the bike to one of his friends one night and needless to say by the next morning the bike was wrecked again.  This bike only has 3160 miles on it but it's been wrecked most of the time.  It's all back together now except for the body parts which are getting painted this week.  But for now, just wanted to share my current pride and joy with my fellow loyal GS'ers.

Enjoy,

Stephen

hell ya man, looks great.
how much did it all run you if you don't mind me asking (bike price and all)?

Well, I traded a 1981 gs250t in OK shape I guess for this bike and a '96 model parts bike w/everything minus front end and plastic.  Even have a spare motor that im setting aside.  I probably couldnt get any more than $500.00 for the 250 if I were to sell it.  Ill break it down like this:

Trade for '81 GS250t:             $500.00

All the parts total about:          $650.00

Registration and title fees:       $75.00

A friend owes me some money so I am letting him work some of it off by painting the GS.  He is a full time body man but has a shop at his house where he works on the side.

I needed a bigger bike and I love working on bikes so I decide why not.  I have a friend in the cycle salvage business and he located most of the parts for me.  The other stuff I got from member of this site(Thanks to everyone) and Ebay.

Probably got around $1100-$1200 total in the bike not counting my time.  I enjoy doing this plus I am going to ride it until the wheels fall off.

Thanks.  The bike has had a rough life, but it is in better care now.  Im painting it the same color as that red Dodge truck in the background.  Thats my truck and I like red so I figured why not.  I think it will look good.  Thanks for the comments guys.  As soon as its painted I will post those pics as well.
