Black frame is a vast improvement!  I want to do mine but laziness gets in the way.

Yea Im lazy as well I had to force myself to pull the bike apart and just do it. Took a shite load of motivation I can tell you.

Black looks good. Then you COULD have used a 2004+ frame that is already black! (But that would mean changing lots of other things so never bind that suggestion - just jerking your chain.)

Thanks, I was actually going to buy a black frame from an Aussie member but decided it would be cheaper and easier just to paint my own

Top Cowl is a universal from ebay and is designed to fit lots of bikes with round headlight.
Bottom cowl is from skidmarx and is made for the GS500

Well I got a brand new tank to go on her now but it's black so I am gonna repaint her black instead of stuffing up a spotless tank.

I know what you are thinking. Why not just put the new tank on the black GS and not bother painting anything?
Well because the red GS is better in every way so I will be keeping her and selling the rest.
