the bike is a 97' gs500 all the turn signals worked prior to install

well i switched from bulbs to LED turn signals now most of you are like put resistors in well that's not the problem. I installed LEDS they are the stems and everything attached to the original wire harness. I went to test them and started with the right side the back right turn signal was the only one to light and it was extremely dim. I then tried the other side with absolutely no light. I then tested all the lights with external battery they all power up and are very bright so that wasn't the problem. I checked the only fuse on the bike which was OK. I then went to the lights again and checked the wires and made sure they were hooked up right. they are. I then went to  the turn signal relay and unplugged it and shorted the relay to see if anything would go on nothing went on. I then went back to the bulbs which worked. all four LED lights wouldn't light after a while not even the back right turn signal would light. I then checked all the new lights to see if it was the new LEDS which all light up with an external battery source. ALL of the other lights light brake headlight neutral oil pressure. but no turn signals work and the turn signal indicator light won't light either which i see is attached to the hot wire for the turn signals.

any help would be great I am pretty stumped there is now no power to any of the turn signals i expect it shorting or grounding somewhere but don't understand where or how as the bike hasn't moved since I started this project.

Try putting one or more old signals back on to see if the wiring got fudged or not in the installation process.

it so happened that the bulb i was using disconnected internally and i just tested another bulb which worked on all lights the indicator works too.

ok so i went back and re wired my install and now all the leds light super dimly and they all light with all the leds lighting at the same time. i am guessing new turn signal relay?

How did you install the resistors?
If you installed them in series with the LED lights, then chances are they are now not getting enough current to illuminate. If you wired them in parallel with the LED's, probably a wiring issue.

Personally I say ditch the resistors and get a flasher unit designed for LED's.

Lighting up at the same time is due to the dash indicator light.  You will need to rewire that with a couple of diodes. There are lots of threads on here with how to wire that up correctly so you don't have both sides lighting up at the same time.
I like a non-sequitur as much as the next Giraffe.
