Torque for handlebar clamp bolts

I want to be sure they are torqued to the correct spec. Wiki shows 6-8.5 ft-lbs for 'handlebar set bolts". Is this the same as the socket head bolts on the pinch clamps? Bolts are into AL so I want to be sure I don't strip them, but they have to be tight :)

 I just tightened mine enough so that a good yank on the bars wouldn't let them slip.
