Hey all,

I got my new PUIG RAPTOR CLEAR WINDSCREEN today!!

Thought I'd share some pics of it. I think it's perfect for that classic look. (I originally wanted a DART but it didn't happen)

Oh ya...new front rotor there too...

Cheers!

How easily did it mount up? Did it come with the mounting hardware? I'm looking for a little shield and I really like the look of that raptor.

GS Paul

It was easy once I realized you don't need all the mounting stuff it comes with. It really only needs the 4 screws (2 on each side) and 4 plastic washers. Then it connects to the headlamp housing and rests against the gauge cover for extra stability. Rock solid though!
Raining here so I can't gve it a go yet...looks great I think though

Haha.  For a second I was seeing it as a very weird forced perspective view, as if the GS was very high in the air and the "BMW" was way down low.  Then after a second I figured out what was really going on.

That's a sharp looking windscreen.  How do you like the wind blocking?

GS Paul

Haven't gotten her up to speed yet. The weather turned to gack the second I finished. Will update this thread when I do.
Just to clarify...the extra hardware that comes with the RAPTOR SCREEN (spacers, nuts, bolts) are to mount some Honda models. It's dirt simple for the GS500.

That's awesome, I'm glad its sooo easy to mount! Looks like I'll be getting one as well! I really like the look and way it fits. Thanks for making up my mind on a windscreen haha

GS Paul

Got mine from BR Tuning.

Here's the link...

I think I paid $94 with shipping Canadian $$$. You can't find the clear ones in North America so I had to order them there.

To clarify that. Maybe you can find one...but I couldn't. These were on sale 2 weeks ago too...once they ship it's super fast!!

PUIG RAPTOR CLEAR SCREEN UNIVERSAL. I'm quite sure it's 0013 for the number of the screen.

That looks pretty good. Not really a fan of the clear but I could always plasti-dip it.

I'm leaning more towards an F-18 windscreen though. They're all about the same price and I think the F-18 with its dual bubbles fit the gauges well.

looks just like my windscreen except mines carbon fiber...looks awesome clear!

ohgood

that's a sharp looking flyscreen, love it !

sooooo, how does it perform  ? is there clean air at your chin, chest, or eye level  ? buffeting ? does it need a laminar lip for 80 mph ?

c'mon, kids need to know  :thumb:

Ok well...it's my first screen so I don't truly know what to expect. However...it feels much smoother at speed. My helmet is getting rocked so it's covering most of my chest to almost my neck. (Which is all I needed) . You can adjust them forward for more resistance. (There's a nut and bolt to add for that. They include it)
I won't adjust mine. Looks great and helps a bit. That's what I wanted. If I wanted a full screen it would have changed the look of the bike too much.

Cheers all...hope that helped!
