Here's a link to 4 pix of my homemade rearset pieces.
I had to lengthen the shift lever and I put the roller on the end to make it shift smoother.

Otherwise it's just the aluminum flat stock.  No other adjustments needed.

I am very pleased with the outcome.

I tried for hours to get the pix on the forum, but I guess I,m too far behind in the technology.

Looks pretty dang good, how did you cut it and shape it? :thumb:
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Looks great!

I'm interested to see what you did on the shift lever side.

Here's jimfols photo; (Jim, copy the 'IMG' link on the right hand side in photobucket and past it directly into the text box)

I used a piece of 1/4 inch plywood about the size needed as a template and screwed it, using the original holes,  to the frame.

Then positioned the original bracket were I wanted it and marked the holes on the plywood.

After measuring  the distance between the original frame holes exactly, I transferred the the hole dimensions to a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum plate. I then used a compass, centered in the hole center, and drew a nice radius for the edge of the part.
connecting these radii with a straight line give you the part.

A saber saw, drill and file gives you the part.

My GS is a 1996 and 'Dupli-Color Perfect Match'  BGM0347 is really close.
