Hey does anyone know if a pair of 2008 factory yoshi slipons from a hyabusa will fit a 2004 gs with no more mod than cut factory pipes under bike and attatch? And then put on bike? Please give input as ive found a deal on them thanks.

Not to volunteer anyone, but... he is a mod, so I'd assume its okay to volunteer him for information lol...   Weedahoe has used yoshi slip-ons from busas on his bike.  He may be limited for time on the forum right now as I know he has been (or will be) traveling for various bike shows.  The thing with his usage of them though, was that he actually made a full custom exhaust.  He made a dual exhaust setup on his GS500 from the busa yoshis.  He did mention that the yoshi slip-on cans are all the same, just the angle of mid pipe and size of that which joins the can to the rest of the exhaust is different... Now, if that pertains to only aftermarket trs yoshi pipes, or stock yoshi pipes, or doesn't matter, I don't know...

I know he might be able to tell you more, but like I said he may not see this thread.

To a certain extent it would need to be a custom fabrication job anyway as the GS500 only has a single exhaust pipe after the dual exhaust headers are merged. Also, there is only a factory mounting location for that single exhaust so you'd have to figure out how to mount the second one.. That is, if your intent is to use both in picture on the same bike.
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

I think its worth a shot if they are close. I can mount one for now and either redo and mount both later or use lefty for parts. I seen the one he did full custom. I  was gona build a baffle as I cut mine at where can meets pipe (previous owner wrecked and rewelded factory can)

Weedahoe did something similar.

With fabrication, anything is possible.  The question is, are you willing to work very hard and have the vision?

If the answer is yes, then go for it.  Just take pictures and document the process along the way.  We like a good project and want to follow along.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Yea, I know. I got the bike cheap back up and running and redoing as a fun bike for dual sport. This forum has been great for learning along the way. I love my gixxer and want to get this bike going soon so can do a camping trip on it. I may just call the guy back and purchase these this wknd.
