Looking for a gas tank and rear plastics for a '01 or newer GS500. Minor scratches on the tank are fine as its just going to get sanded down and repainted, but no dents or rust. Rear plastics the same deal - minor scratches or scuffs are fine, just no cracks or chunks missing.

Would be nice to find one local in Southern ontario. Would be willing to drive a few hours to pick them up though. I'm sure shipping from the states would be killer.

FYI: The underseat plastic new, from a dealer, is about $45. Order one from an '09. They are all the same, but part numbers changed due to stickers on them and things like that.
Postage from the US for the fender would make your cost pretty high. Order from your local dealer and you probably avoid postage costs.

Really, the whole fairing is $45? I doubt they're that cheap Canada but even twice that would be worth it for a new one.

Somehow I read you wanted the under seat plastic fender. Now that I re-read it seems you want the tail plastics.
Sorry for the confusion.
You should be able to locate rear tail plastic set for under $100.

Wagoneer

Ah ok. I was going to say, I looked it up here and the rear plastics are $240 new. For $45 I would have driven across the border! lol

It was your title - "under seat plastic" - that led me to thing the under seat inner plastic fender, not the rear tail plastics.
