i recieved a few parts and instaled a few, tomorrow i will instal the handlebar and maybe start my tremclad spray paint job, i did a little test and seems to look very good. how do i add pictures from my phone?

jacob92icu

You need tapatalk or whatever, and you have to pay for it. Or you could download photobucket and get an account and upload your pictures to photobucket from your (smart i hope) phone and then copy and past the links here from photobucket.
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

bought some paint, im going to repaint the bike all in glossy black, keep the gold aspects gold, mat black some other things.
waiting on my r1 tail light to come in and my easy pull clutch

Just sayin-- for the past few weeks, I've been resurrecting a 1992 GS500E with the same exact paint. Mine's a bit denty as well, but I'm too lazy to do the bondo. Just focusing on making it a strong runner.

Let us know how it all goes!

BeerIsSoAwesome

Oh, here's a thought: if you want a piece of functional bling, PM Chuck81 for a fork brace. They're CNC milled from 1/2" aluminum, he'll engrave a Suzuki logo in it for no extra charge, and best of all he sells them with new stainless screws for only $40, shipping included. Compare that to $150 for the Superbrace and you'll see why I have a Chuck81 brace on my bike right now ;)

I dont get whats that for. What master cylinder  could replace the stock one for fromt breaks

BeerIsSoAwesome

What are you trying to accomplish with a new master cylinder?

The right side cover is mostly for looks, however the fork brace is an extremely rigid piece of 1/2" thick aluminum that replaces the stock fender mount, a very thin piece of stamped steel. It's supposed to prevent the fork from deflecting under hard braking and cornering, and thereby improve handling.

mike1994

Master cylynder is purely for looks, if theres a cheap one, or else ill keep it stock, although i do need to know what kind of rear break master cylinder, i want to put a juntion valve for a hand break.

Looks like this will be an interesting build, I am following this at the moment :D UPDATES!!

Heres some motivation man! Good luck. Dont listen to these people telling you not to do it! Its worth it if you want to do it just for fun.

I swear he's wearing Birkenstock sandals while drifting around in the dirt.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

mike1994

purty!!!  :thumb:

... have to admit... while i was/am a little sceptical about the whole gs500/stunt bike idea.... i was imagining that you'd end up with a frankenbike looking thrashed out/hodge podge unit...

but that looks nice!.. neat! .. looked after!! ..  :D

.. but advice.... dont know that i am qualified to give too much advice... it annoys people apparently...  :icon_rolleyes:
