Hello guys

I want to introduce myself to you all. I've been building model airplanes and helicopter and flying them for long time. Airplanes since the late 80's or early 90's. I currently in rc clubs. Few years ago. I bought my first 150cc scooter. I always wanted a bike so that was my first well maybe sissy bike? Ha. Anyway's I've learned to drive it around learned to balance and to stop an turns on curve. I got my permit on 2011. Never took my driving test. My scooter had problem. Well last year on spring I bought my Suzuki GS500e 1999 bike. I think I bought it for 1300 dollars. I thought it was a good deal at the time until I notice they owed over 500 dollars. I waited until this year and it went up to 705. Ah anyway's. I'm going to put it on my name also take my test for permit and practice and will be joining a club. Hello to you all. Here is a pic of my bike. God bless.

Jaime

Oh don't worry about him.... He lives in a cave near a old ferry crossing.... Lot of weekends he can be seen flitting in around the tree lined lanes... Making weird faces at squirrels and raccoons!!  ;) :flipoff:

In our crappy Seattle weather we are extactic to see anyone riding. On perfect days, everyone is out and no matter what you have, everyone gets along. Backfire Moto is the perfect example: bicycles with a 49cc motor strapped on next to a V-8 motorcycle.

If YOU are proud of your bike then others will be. Never say "Oh, I only have a 500". Instead say : I have a terrific GS500 and I love it! The perfect bike for me!" They well respect you. You are proud of your ride.

I have had guys with 1300cc bikes on the ferry oggle over my humble GS500 with awe and intrigue. They ask about how fast it accelerates. how it handles on turns and twisties. They explain how their big bike is nice on long hauls, but sluggish on pick up and awkward on the twisties. Imagine - guys with 1300's envious of my GS500!

Be PROUD of your ride and others will respect you.

Laugh at your bike? Not if you are proud of your bike. carbs and not FI? Don't need it. Only 500? Enough power for highway and not enough to get me in trouble. I'm a new rider. The size is perfect for me. She handles great on twisties. She almost rides by herself! An all around great bike for city streets and highways.

Looking for local groups? try meetup.com
Lots of filters to find groups you like.
Here, I found East Side Sport Bikers: Gs500 is OK. Jmill went on one ride with me and the group. They are a little more aggressive but do list novice and intermediate rides. Excellent group leader. Then there is Around the Sound Riders: more diverse and into average riding and less sport bike oriented. Many other motorcycle groups. They post rides and you participate as you feel you can.

Sometimes I post I'm doing Vashon Island as a last minute ride and get a couple people to go with me. Never had a bad experience this way.

I even go with the BMW RIDE group. Up here, a group MAY have a preference, but if you want to ride, you can ride whatever you have as long as you can stay with the group and follow the group riding rules.

Been on rides with 250's to 1100's. Group divided into fast and slow group. We all had a great time and met up at the ferry dock at the same time for the ride back to the mainland.

:thumb: Yes I'm very happy with my bike. It's my first motorcycle bike. Great bike I already put in probably over a thousand miles. It's perfect size for me. I'm a 260 lb pounder and this thing has enough power. Great bike for starting. I'll take you're advice though. Ty I'm a noob biker.  :icon_mrgreen: Are we able to join couple clubs?

Here is few pic of my ride.

Are we able to join couple clubs?
Go to meetup.com
You can see the motto of the club and decide if you want to join.
Joining does not mean you go on every ride. You go on the rides you can go on. I do 10% of the posted rides. On great rides, like to Mt. Rainer, I sign up first to get a spot. Sometimes rides are limited because too large a group would be unsafe. Perfectly OK to join a group and lurk a while then decide to ride with them or drop out.
If you ride and didn't like it, there is a feedback rating for each activity. Say what you feel.
You can drop out of a group you do not like or monitor groups you might want to ride with.
Joining a group does not obligate you to ride on any event.

And you may sign up for whatever you wish. Meetup.com is not limited to motorcycles. You may sign up for as many groups as you wish. meetup is a social meeting place.

The people in bar ask me nice helmet what do you drive?  :icon_rolleyes: I drive a scooter. and then the guy did.  :cookoo: Hahaha I'm kidding just having fun with the smileys. But yea people did ask me what I drive some of them were bikers but I told him with pride I drive a scooter. I had so much fun with my scooter for being a 1 cylinder 150cc it pushed my fat ass 260lb pounder. But loved driving the scooter. Anyway's thanks.

Sharp bike man.

Not sure what you mean they owe on it.. I take it the title wasnt clear? Make sure you try to take care of that, if I understand that correct the cops could consider it property of the bank and take it from you possibly if they catch you on it. Maybe I misunderstood, but wanted to mention.

98 Aztec Orange, F1R Cobra Exhaust, Jetted , Rear Hugger, Stainless Chain Guard, Sonics / Kat600, Fork Brace,
Superbike Bars, Pro Grip, Bar End Mirrors, LED conversion...

No money is owed to a bank or nothing but when you don't pay for you're tags you will owe the state unless if you put it as non op. 705 is what I would be paying which I used calculator by Dmv California. It was owed.
