rechargable razor/ electric type.

Kiwingenuity

getting colder... it is something you use with another device - think USB

oldmech

something like an ipod music player, the correct wording eludes me right now.

Kiwingenuity

colder again.  good if your USB device goes flat.

oldmech

ok last go at it, solar powered gps.

Kiwingenuity

It is solar - but only serves other devices.

oldmech

ok i lied, this is my last guess. you have me curious what it is. to put it in simple terms is it a solar powered battery back up of sorts?

Janx101

yeah.. what oldmech said... solar recharger for usb chargable gadgets .. probably got a little weeny inverter or something inside it to ensure reasonable voltage supply from such a little surface area of solar cell...

I'm sure thats what he meant!! ...  :thumb:

have to ponder though ... and yeah i know having your phone or a portable cb radio would be a invaluable life saving tool if you were camping or such and got into serious trouble... but .. isnt the point of camping to 'get away from it all' ...

spose it could be used to charge the ipod/iphone or whatever too.... on train commutes or something... so there was absolutely no chance of being social network free!! ...  :icon_rolleyes: ... mutter mumble social schmetworks!!.. mumble grumble

Ah, got there eventually - it is the handiest gadget you can buy if you do a bit of outdoor camping.

This little puppy has an internal battery can charge off a PC / USB charger or the solar panels which clip out.

I take it so I can charge the phone or GPS.  Can charge tablets / PDAs.
