I'm looking to buy a GS500E. I'm not so much concerned about the years or mileage as I am about the condition of the bike (if I understand correctly, it didn't change too much over the years anyways, right?). I've been looking for one of these for a while, unfortunately the last time one showed up I didn't have the cash to spend. I'm looking to spend about $1500, less if it's beat up or needs work, and I could stretch maybe a little past that if the bike were absolutely mint. I'm living in Rochester at the moment, but I'd be willing to travel a bit.

I appreciate the response, but honestly it'd have to be a hell of a deal to get me to travel out of NYS. How do you guys deal with far away bikes anyways? Do you travel to see it, then pay a shipping company to bring it to your home? I brought home my first bike (a CB350-F) from Columbus, Ohio by stuffing it into the back of my friend's Jeep Grand Cherokee. That was a nightmare.

I live by that posting, I went almost to Maryland for my bike. I just paid my buddy gas in his truck and we made the trip. Pulled the bike into the bed and made our way home.

Brian, that may honestly be the best looking GS I've ever seen on CL! Looks super mint. I caught your thread about it tho and I probably would've ended up taking off pink, so I don't think I'm the right owner anyways. Good luck with the car up in Syracuse.

Zmerica19- it looks like that posting got deleted before I could see it. I did see another GS500e actually pop up in Rochester, though, but the owner was asking $2500 and that seemed quite a bit overpriced
