Hey everyone! Name's Jeremy. I live over in a anal town called ephrata, wa.  I am totally new to riding, almost new to motorcycle mechanics and seasoned in auto mechanics.  Here's my bike story: About a month ago, I get a Facebook notification on my phone at 5 am. At the time I was working night shift so I'm just getting off work. I look at my phone and see a buddy of mine posted he needed a carb rebuild on his 1978 Honda goldwing and in exchange for the labor, this 93 gs500. So naturally, I jump all over it.  We get the bikes to my house and I totally tear down the gl in a day and the next day, I start looking at this Suzuki.  Minor rust in places, vance & hines exhaust, k&n lunchbox, some kind of aftermarket cam adjusting contraption and the plastics tank and seat are not mounted. So I start digging in, checking bolt tightness and fluid levels. Everything seems in order, bike turns over smoothly all electrical works, but it seems its missing the frame mounted fuel petcock, and literally 1/2 of the mounting hardware for the plastics seat and tank. So I'm thinking 20 or 30 bucks and ill have a good little bike to start out on. Here are some pics.

Thanks. Haha I just noticed my autocorrect put that I was from anal town.  I lol'd pretty hard at that and just to clarify I meant a little town. Also, I'm having some issues with uploading pics but I will get that sorted.

Looks pretty anal to me - google says there are 5 hotels and an RV park. Can't get much more anal than that unless you add a couple acres of used car lots. 

Make a shopping list of what you need and stop at the Bike Cave is West Seattle. I have probably most all parts you need. Or put the bike on a pickup and bring it over. 12 hours later it would be pretty sweet!

I read the Quin article, it was awesome!  Aaaaand we have 3 car dealerships lol.  Seattle is about a 3 or 4 hour trip for me so I don't get over that way much. I think the last time I was there was in 06 to watch my little brother wrestle at the tacoma dome. The wife and kids want to get a city pass and go to the zoo and stuff so maybe this summer ill be making a trip to the bike cave.

I got my petcocl today! 34$ shipped from eBay. Now to get a filter, hoses and the routing down, some oil and she'll be ready to start!

I am also on my way to restoring and fixing anything wrong on my 91. We will have to meet up as newbies once we both get our rigs running.

No need for fuel filter.
Use 5/16" ID fuel hose. Good hose clamps.
Make fuel lines a couple inches extra long. It helps later when you have to take  things apart.

I am in lynnwood. Right now don't need many spare parts thanks though. Got my first ride in on friday afternoon. Hopefully more this week!

Just picked up (or pushed) a Honda cb900. Not sure what year yet but it was free. My brother in law is moving to spokompton and he couldn't take it with him. So, with flat tires (its been sitting since 04) I pushed it 5 blocks to my house. I have too many projects! Lol someone come buy my 16 ft boat and 78 ranchero! I'll make ya a killer deal.
