Re-tightened Suzi's generator rotor (that's what the manual calls it). You know, the magnet thingy that the starter gear attaches to. It came loose all on its own. Now editing the video of it.

Then a box arrived from Jim K. in Germany. A pair if adjustable fork caps AND a brand new, rare Five Stars (aka TCP) headlight cowling. Different from what we are used to. It is larger and no doubt will provide more wind protection.

Oh man... That would look real good in white with a chin faring...

Now with no bike I spend more time on here than ever before :technical:
When in doubt, empty the magazine.

Put the rear wheel back on, tensioned the chain, and made sure the wheels are straight. Later today I'm going to put a little lube on the chain and try the new tires out.

After a brief ride I decided I'm keeping the windscreen off. (Well not that I could put it back on, due to it being broken, but...) So much less buffeting on the highway. More wind noise, but my ear plugs are specifically designed to cancel out wind noise, so I hardly even notice it.

Also, I switched bikes with my brother for a leg of the ride so he could feel what it was like without the windscreen. He got all scared when the gas got down to the reserve, thought there was something wrong with the bike....crazy kids and their newfangled fuel injection. :D

mmm yeah .. i likes those mirrors also!! ... been thinking about using something like that on my F model ... to line up on 'the blind spot' part of road that the fairing mirrors dont quite cover...

was going to put some small 2" convex on the main mirrors .. but they do cover up a bit much of what i consider the good viewable areas ..

wont stop doing my head checks of course... that would be silly ... just after a bit better situational awareness view in general..

funny thing... since i started riding the road bike a few years ago.... even in the car now.. i do a lot more headchecks automatically .. before it was occasionally ..  :thumb:
