had a rattle coming from the engine for about 2 month now, its dosent affect perfomance of starting off the engine, it just rattles upto 5500 rpm or so, i think its the cam chain, maybe the tensioner has had its chips and lost tension, meaning the chain is always slack

not sure wouldnt mind getting the problem sorted, its just annoying really dosent seem to cuase any problems

You might be talking about the rattle that every GS has that goes away periodically then comes back, some thing to do with the different type of cam chain than most other motors? Dont recall exactly.

ermm not sure then but it is noticeably loud
