Well I took my bike for its test ride with the .95 sonic springs and k&n lunchbox filter and I have to say that anyone thinking of doing the spring swap DO IT NOW

The lunchbox sounds great (very growly under throttle) Bike seems to have more power as well :thumb:

And before anyone asks NO I did not rejet. Bike is running PERFECT. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

yesterday removed the front fairings and went with the naked look, put new bar end mirrors on (love the look but the design is poor) and today when i got home from work i wiped it all down and made her nice and shiny

Took her to my first day at work for my summer internship. She was looking pretty in the sunlight.

Had some odd fuel delivery issues, just like before I cleaned my tank. Seems to happen more often now to be honest. Probably cause I put those fuel filters on and now they are all gunked up or something. How long should I use the filters after cleaning the tank?
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

3-4 tanks should do it...anything generally after that should just burn up, assuming no chunks.

I tell ya what the Katana on the back and the .95 sonics on the front makes the bike feel totally different.
Very stable and no more nose diving under heavy braking. I should have done it the day I bought the bike :dunno_black:

Cods, glad to see the springs have made an improvement!

As for me, stuck the horrendously ugly stock guard and tail light on yesterday as the repairer has the new parts so I can redo the customisation and get her back to lookin' purdy again...

And I then discovered that the nuts on the bottom of the left fork were loose after having new tyres put on on Friday... and the rear brake was no longer operating the brake light... and the bolt for the drum actuator was loose... so I took care of that as well, and made a phone call this morning to express my displeasure...

... Because of .... "That moment after a spirited ride, when you are late braking into the speed camera trigger zone, and your speedo goes completely dead 40m before the camera!" .......  :icon_eek:

I cleaned some gunk off the cable and tightened the nut things up properly this time! ....

... Still gotta deal with other minor issues here and there right now ....

Do these things 'happen' in groups? ..... Or do we just NOTICE them in groups? ..., ;) ahhhh philosophy!!

Finished installing my .90 sonic springs, katana rear shock swap and an oil change. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Totally new bike! If you're still running around on the stock suspension you're either crazy or a munchkin weighing less than 100lbs. Scratch that, even if you're a munchkin you need to do this swap! The bike itself is too heavy for the stock suspension.

Soldered together a weather proof cigarette lighter dongle to plug into trickle charger port on battery... NOW I need a day off work to actually MOUNT the thing.   :icon_neutral:

Changed the cush rubbers on the CT110, Changed the back tyre and shortened the chain,
Rode the shaZam! out of the GS with the new katana shock and sonic springs and went to the Honda shop to have a look at some bikes and talk to the sales rep

Yeah mate, I totally agree on the sonic springs update, as well as R6 or similar shock at the rear!! Mine feels like a new bike - still playing with the settings on the R6. Would you recommend the lunchbox over the standard k n filter replacement?
Keep up the good work!

Finally rode it in to work today. The bike has been out of commission for about a week due to a dime sized hole in the gas tank. Finally got a "new" one on the other day and rode it into work . Of course there was road construction on my way in so i took the long way to go around it.

I installed my HEL stainless steel brake line in the front along with an SV650 front caliper from ebay with HH pads.  After a couple sessions of bleeding, I finally got the lever to have a very solid pull.  I adjusted the position of my levers slightly as well.

I also did a slight tweak on my clutch.  I turned it about 1/6 of a turn back in at the adjustment screw on the side cover, and it shifts much smoother now.  I think I turned it too far out when I adjusted it the first time, so it was taking too much pull to engage fully.

Then I went for a ride.  It rode perfectly!  I took 8 more pictures for The Pace Podcast's E2E Rally.  I'm over 80 pics now!  Here's my library of pics and a link to the Rally page for those who don't know what it is.
