gasket replacement case problems

so I have an oil leaks from all my gaskets i tried re torqueing the bolts with no success so i am replacing all of my gaskets. I am starting with the clutch side. I have removed the pulse generator center bolt(the one that attaches to the camshaft) and the 13 external bolts holding the case on. Now the case is not coming off. I did snap a bolt near the bottom but it snapped pretty deep in there and the threads are not on the case side so i don't see how that bolt could be holding anything. I really need some tips on removing this case.

I did both my side cover gaskets. You are doing the "easy" side now (believe it or not). I don't remember exacly what I had to take apart in/around the signal generator; but read the thread about replacing right side cover gasket. It has details. If it doesn't come off with a gentle pry or a tap with a rubber hammer, somebody may have replaced the gasket before you and used some kind of sealant. I don't know what to advise in that case. Razor knife around the cover trying to cut the old gasket in half? Good luck.

Hi there,
I remember there being two screws UNDER the rotor that need to be removed before the left side cover will come off.
I don't have my service manual nearby so I am going by memory here.
I think that's your issue.
Look in the parts fiche and see the screws. You can find this online.

Yes - 2 hidden screws.
Remove the timing pickup plate.
2 more screws under it.
No need to remove the oil pressure sensor (the thing with one wire on it)
