So I saw this thread:    http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=64620.0
And I decided to attempt it. I got out my dremel and cut the inner pipe flush with the outer inner part. I can't really tell a difference in sound at idle but when I was riding it and opened up the throttle, I could notice a difference. It sounds like a aftermarket exhaust when the throttle is wide open. Another time I noticed it was when I was down shifting and the engine was slowing down the bike, it sounds pretty great. I'm happy with it.  :thumb:

Hi. I'm very interested to hear how you cut the inside pipe. Did you use a 'hole-saw' (one that cuts a hole in a piece of metal) and come in straight from the exhaust end, or did you use a normal circular blade (and have to angle it it to chop off the inner extension)?
Presumably no rejetting needed, and she runs as smooth as ever?
Thanks for your help.

I just used a dremel circular metal cutting wheel. I didn't rejet it. I haven't noticed any change in performance.
