I bought this bike 3 weeks ago (love it!). The PO had installed this fairing. It's pretty ok but I'm not sure I want to keep it.

Get a sideshot if you can.

I dont think I am a fan..

However it may look better if you got the belly or chin fairing to add to the bike to complete the look?

From the side, it looks worse I think :-/
I gonna have to find the brackets to mount the headlight to the forks.

Where are you located inspector? I'm looking for a fairing just like that if you decide to sell.....

I'm in northern Ontario, Canada. It looks like a decently made unit. Some pretty hefty tubing (aka extra weight).

You can remove it and put it back if you want to.
That's one fun thing about bikes.
It should be your decision - not someone else. if you klike it, keep it. if you hate it, sell it. if unsure, ride with and without it.
You might like daily riding with out it. Then long trips put it on to deflect the wind.

Hmmm.... all things considered, let me know if you do decide to sell it. Shipping might be a killer though.

That being said, I agree with Adidas. Try riding with and without the fairing when it's cold out - that's when you'll notice the biggest difference.

IMHO the fairing looks way too bulky for the bike, -off a bigger machine I reckon.

Obviously you are leaning against it or you would not have asked. I presume you could sell it or get cash and the parts you need to make it naked.

Good luck with this as I am sure someone here will be interested in the fairing. If you decide to remove it get it weighed so interested parties can estimate a shipping.

Good luck. Nice looking bike welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I prefer the naked look. I'll have to get the brackets to mount the headlight back onto the forks. The weight of fairing is hefty I'm sure.

here is a link to the wiki of the naked conversion. i did it do mine but used bar end mirrors instead. love the way it looks but im not a fan of the head light brackets on a stock gs500f headlight. bottoms out over bumps with the stock suspension in the front. the brackets require some modification, mine came unclipped in the back so my headlight shifted down
