Thanks for all of the help i've received from everyone on my first bike so far!

I'm wanting to put mirrors on my gs500F (without fairings) and want to know the best way (and inexpensive) to do it.
Obviously I can't mount on the fairings, but I don't think I have room for a clamp either.
This link shows my bike pictures:

Thanks!

Your front brake has a spot for the mirror.
It appears you or someone has swapped out your clutch perch for a non-GS500 perch. The GS500 perch has a spot for the mirror.
You could switch perches and use the stock GS500 one. I'm not sure what you have now, but might require a stock GS lever, too (wow - they are like $9!) Or get a perch for your present clutch lever that has a mirror thingy.

Thanks adidas. I uploaded a picture of the brake side : http://www.flickr.com/photos/93658390@N02/8658188775/

As far as the clutch side, which one of these should I get, if any? I have an '07

Hmmmm..... that is also not stock.

For clutch perch: the one for $24 is complete: lever, rubber boot, cable adjuster and safety switch. (Safari often charges too much for their parts. ) Pinwall is another good place for quality parts at a reasonable price.

Here you see stock that has the mirror mounts. They each have a rubber button in them. Since your front end doesn't look stock, I guess the perches got changed when  the handlebars were changed out.

Short of changing the brake and clutch perches, you're only option may be bar end mirrors.

Ok, so I will get the stock clutch perch.
Is there any way that I could buy part 6 from this: http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Main/FrontMasterCylinderBrake

There are lots of us that have junk front master cylinders laying around where that part can be taken off and sold to you.
Or just buy a nearly new master cylinder if yours is needing replacing.

Thanks adidas, I'm going to post on here to see if I can get those small parts for cheap first.
If worst comes to worst I'll replace the big things.
Thanks for your help!

Looks to me like the std mounting parts are there now on both sides in your pic with rubber plugs in the threaded holes for the mirrors?

That's Junior, not JS's.
I WISH i could get the cats to learn to ride. Except they need a dirt bike for chasing birds. Maybe a small pocket bike for them?

Hi!  My stock handlebars were altered as well.  While I have the perch on the left side, the previous owner welded over the brake side perch.  Since I'm a new rider and fear that if I tip my GS500, bar end mirrors would probably be a bad idea.  I'm interested in a brake lever perch but am having a hard time figuring out compatibility.  Any suggestions on an economical assembly that will fit?
