Front brake lever sticking

Hey everyone. I'm hoping someone has insight into a brake problem I've been having. The front brake lever on my GS is sticking/binding. If you try to pull it in a smooth fashion, it'll stick a bit, and then pull suddenly, causing braking to be very choppy since suddenly more brake pressure than intended will be applied.

I've tried several things to fix it already. I've greased the pivot for the lever, rebuilt the master cylinder, replaced the brake line, replaced the pistons and seals on the caliper, and bled new brake fluid through the system. After all that, the problem went away for a couple weeks, then came right back. Any new ideas? I've heard there's some sort of tiny relief valve in the master cylinder that can get clogged, but I'm not sure where that is or how I would clean it. At this point I'm at my wits end, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A common but not frequent minor problem, I just soak it with a lot of WD-40 and it's good to go again for many, many miles.  Think that sticktion feeling comes more from friction between the lever sides and the lever slot so a little grease on the pivot doesn't fix it.   :dunno_black:  Only have had to do it a few times in over 175k GS miles.
