After looking on this site for some information on obtaining a belly pan, I have noticed that they are hard to come by and that there are more than a few people who want one.

A little research and I came up with this: http://www.powerbronzeusa.com/900878/818263/---SUZUKI-GS500E.model

Has anyone dealt with Powerbronze USA? They are out of stock but say that orders will be fulfilled within 28 days.

Technically, most of these things are just bodywork/spoilers. I haven't found any true pans that provide oil containment; for my use, I had to modify a race pan from another bike to fit.

I bought my pan from powerbronze. Arrived in a few weeks with no issues whatsoever :thumb:
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

Hi Reedman,
I still have an OEM GS500 chin fairing for sale.

Here's my post about it.

I had a 91 same color as you bike. Always wanted the belly pan. Why are you not using it?

Hi Reedman,
I don't want to have to remove it for oil changes. :)
It's not that important to me to have it.
Are you interested?
Thanks,

hey Trwhouse, a noob question, is the factory chin spoiler like you have any use,  would it force air up toward the oil cooler (which my bike doesn't currently have , being a '96)  ...and how would you compare it overall in appearance and function (or not any) to the kit one shown on the gstwin webpages? ...sorry abt long post.

Hi Reedman,
I still have an OEM GS500 chin fairing for sale.
I'd buy it in a second if you lowered your price to an actual used piece price. It's the same price to buy a brand new one from skidmarx. And it comes with mounting hardware. I priced out the mount hardware to buy separately locally from the hardware store and it was around $30 if I remember. Just not worth it.

Not bashing or anything, just stating facts.

Well thanks Wagoneer for your unbridled opinion, but...
The OEM chin fairing is worth more than reproduction models.
It is the original piece, not a replica.
That's how much I'm selling it for because that's what I bought it for several years ago.
When I bought it, the seller didn't include the mounts, so that's how I got it. I was OK with that because others here on the site had created their own mounts with simple parts.
And you can buy whatever you want to buy, but I can sell whatever I want to sell.
If I don't sell it, that's fine. I'll keep it.
You are not "stating facts." You are stating your opinions.
I think OLD STOCK parts are as valuable as new replica parts. That's my opinion and the opinion of others as well.
If you're not interested, I'm fine with that.
Thanks for your helpful comments and brilliant insights, Mr. Noobie with 130 posts.
It is amazing that others always have something to say about what someone else is selling, doing, considering, etc.
Sorry to complain, but it gets annoying after a while.
There, I feel better. :)

Oh, and Twotogo, to answer your questions...

No, I don't believe that any chin fairing will force air up into your bike's oil cooler. To do that, you'd need a cowling around the oil cooler to force the air directly into it.

I think the OEM chin fairings are preferable to the replica units. Others like both and feel differently.
It's your call, man.  :)

I think the OEM unit has the right "look."

Thanks and best wishes,
