2007 (and some 2004) GS500F Part Out

I've been meaning to do this for months but honestly have been dreading it. First, I'm putting an online spreadsheet to track what's been sold. As parts are asked about or sold, I will add it to the spreadsheet. I'm really not sure how shipping is going to work for bigger parts but I guess we'll figure it out as we go along.

IMPORTANT BACKSTORY:
I have a 2004 GS500F and managed to blow the engine (counterbalance bearings). I found a guy on craigslist who was parting out his wrecked 2007 GS500F. I offered to buy the engine and when I went to pick it up I ended up taking home the entire bike. I used the wrecked 2007 to fix up my 2004 and what I'm selling is everything that's left over.

The complete 2004 engine is in image #24. When it was last on the bike last winter it DID start up and run but had a super nasty vibration - read the story here. I do believe it's a candidate to be rebuilt but please don't take my word on it. It's been sitting outside for the last 8 months.

Unfortunately, my phone dislikes your links... It just brings me to your engine vibration thread. However, this one is simple. Do you have an extra frame petcock?

EDIT: Just saw everything on my PC... Nix that question lol. Thanks!

Good call lol. If you really need it, you can have my dibs. The reserve connector on mine kept popping off. I just wanted an extra one in case my JB Weld doesn't hold.

Edit: Form filled out, just in case.

Comments: Again, I don't want to steal a part from someone who genuinely needs it, as my current petcock will hopefully be fully functional again.

Thanks again, fleshpiston. To reiterate, I'm willing to concede if you need it more than me.

Edit again: Whoops. I suppose it's a CHICKEN ASSY lol.  :icon_lol:

Hey guys,

I am monitoring the thread and will get back to you ASAP. Accidentally bought a boat a few days ago and it's been keeping me tied up...just like my bike did when I first bought it.

Anyway, I may end up just taking the damn thing apart and putting up pictures of each item separate so you guys don't have to deal with finding part numbers and crap. Just trying to avoid confusion.

Regarding the frame mounted petcock - I'm about 90% certain the one pictured has a leak and needs a new gasket or additional unicorn horn dust or something. Either of you still want it?

How does one "accidentally" buy a boat..? Lol. It's understandable, though.

I'll concede to fleshpiston on this one. The JB Weld seems to be holding on mine. Thanks, though! And good luck with the rest of the part out. I might be back lol.
