Macs have their place, PCs have their place. At work, I use Microsoft Office. That's about it. My Dell Latitude handles it with ease.

At home, I have an apple AirPort Extreme and an iPhone. Love them both, but for business, need windows.

For me it is time for a change. Need a better computer and better editing software and over having a desktop. Guess that's the thing eh, nearly everyone who owns apple loves them death

Yes they do love them.  ALmost with a religious ferocity.  How else can they justify 3x the price for a laptop?

And it's always funny to talk to my friends who have switched from iPhones to Android devices, and from MacBooks to PC laptops. They all act like they were hiding under a rock. "My new phone is so much better than my old iPhone!" Yes. That's called Android. Or, "Wow, this laptop is really fast!" Yep. Twice the power for half the price. And Linux is free.

However, I will say that for those who are less than proficient in terms of technology, the Apple devices are user-friendly. It's just that they're SO user-friendly that they end up being annoying (or next to impossible) to work with if you know what you're doing. And, in my opinion, a tad over priced.

i like my ipod .. and the ipad- for just general browsing at home... even though the ipad and i have different views on a few functions and how they should work...

in the office though its intel or nothing!! .. long term familiarity with windows "xyz" means i dont get lost 

I love my iPhone and my Apple TV plus the retina iPad I got for the Missus (I forget the number it is lol so many)

What you guys say is true though the price of apple does suck that's the only bit I don't like about them

I absolutely positively 100% agree with you. I went from being a sworn in Apple iphone user to an android and its 1000 times better and it does everything Apple does plus sooo much more. I will NEVER use iPhone again

Linux or the original name - unix rocks ... its where you can learn nothing for 20+ years and still be gainfully employed and yell @ people for doing stupid sheite like transporting a .gz file via email to a idiotic windows archive and keep it under "version control" ... and then 10 mins before the deployment is due "send it" to you ... which will be completely corrupted and unuseable ... I'd deploy it anyway, frustrate everyone by doing exactly as they say ... and tell them you know, we have this file "staged" way back when we sent it to be under version control ... may be that script will run ...

I also believe Apple ruined Adobe flash for mobile devices.  Their hard stance about not allowing flash on their devices obviously forces content providers to move away from flash for mobile devices -because ipad and iphone users would complain.

Apple is evil.  They even had the balls to complain to the government that jailbreaking their iphones should be illegal.  Really?  I just love that you buy their product and they feel they can dictate what you can do with it.
