:lol: anyhoo, ive now got a 750 virago, am trying to get carbs off. removed tank,and covers, fuel lines etc, any advice? to make job less of a pita? anyone with answers feel free to post thanks

Yea Vtwin's are mofo's... those that have regular carbs instead of the side splits are worse... The 535 was easy to jet, like 30 seconds for a jet change, main or pilot and float ... and 30 sec needle shimming but taking off the whole carb will just about make you want to roll it off a cliff... It was slide split... not the official term for it, but you get the idea.

Nope... Dont know how... never had a 700 or 750 or 1100 or 920 or 1000 viagro... only the 535 and those didn't eat their starter. The 535 in many respects was a 1000 times better bike than the rest of the viagro's, just got sunk by the pooe looks especially the dummy tank ones 87-90. Hell I have felt the 535 is better than the GS, but it will eat its black box as a matter of fact, and that while is a simple fix, costs 35 cents, its near impossible to diagnose.... and that is the biggest drawback of the 535, but the rest of them eat the thing too...

my bad, it is a 700 not a 750. starter makes weird noises, or occasionally acts like its in neutral, but (before i pulled the carbs off, never failed to start. decided to clean/rebuild carbs cause theve been sittin for 5 years rather be safe than sorry btw finally got the carbs off. i think satan had a hand in making this thing was a major gripe, but after a smoke and a couple of shots,       , i got her off.

OK you need 82 750 virago parts. Might have some.
