Sprockets: More Teeth?

I've heard of people dropping a tooth in the front (or adding a few in the back) for more power, but this negatively affects gas mileage due to higher RPM at cruising speeds.

Has anyone ever done the opposite? I rarely use all the power I have as it its, and I wouldn't mind getting more out of a tank and keeping the engine a little lower at highway speeds.

Ohhhhhhh ... You gone done it now!! .... :icon_lol:

Yeah bro there are some threads on here from even last few months about it ....

I'm going to be 'goin large' soon as finances permit .... Just because I can!  :D

Look up 17T or 18T .... Or 38T 37T etc ...

Personally I'm thinking of trying out a 17/37 or quite similar ...

But you will now attract the attention of the 'stockers' ... Who will tear into your wish for a difference , demand scientific data on any of it , vow before the god of their choice that the stock sprockets are the perfect ones anyway ..... And otherwise try to convince you that you wish to change is belittling yourself, your bike, the engineers that designed it, Suzuki, ... And probably your country, the god of your choice .... And your mother! ..  ;) :D

Brace thyself!  :icon_lol:

Honestly it was just theoretical. But now that I've gone down this road I might as well embrace it.

"Anyone opposed to changing sprockets is against freedom!"  :2guns:

That should help.

spray, here's the last thread on the bigger front sprocket subject, I think it's what Janx had in mind.  If you don't find it informative you should at least find it humorous.   :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
