AFAIK - no silver ... plenty of black, and silver as secondary color, yes, blue, green, black etc etc had silver as secondary color.
Good - you're making a sensible choice. Black IMHO is the easiest to color match. If you had a plain black tank (they had those some years - 96-98 if I recall) you can slap 2 panels off different years and it will match cos you can only see 1 side of the bike @ any given time.
