So I bought the bike, checking the oil and everything that I knew how to do, and everything checked out normal except for this carb issue. Well I took the bike in to have it worked on after buying a new set of carbs to have them synced and other work done, and turns out they think that the main bearing is gone and found shavings of metal in the oil.Without taking the motor apart they can't be sure, but they think that the main bearing is shredded. So knowing that I am trying to sell this bike for a parts bike,  or part it out depending on interest. This is a complete bike from front forks all the way back to tail lights. The side casings are a somewhat scratched, and the fairings have some cracks and scratches. I have 2 sets of carbs that can go with this bike, plus brand new tires that haven't even been put on yet. Unless someone has an engine that they are looking to sell to me at a later date. This bike is located in eastern Iowa near Iowa City. If I get enough offers on parts I may part it out, so send offers and what your willing to pay, and maybe we can make a deal. Oh bike only has 7,6xx miles on it.

it has salvage title that has no liens against it. It was salvaged from back in 2006 before i bought it. There was a flood, but everything was repaired back to original specs.

And i'm not quite sure on the part out yet. I may have found a motor which would be awesome because I don't want to buy a new bike.

salvage or clean title who cares Eh?, as long as it is safe to ride. by all means, if you can get her on the road, youve got a bike on the cheap

how much for the front forks?

How much for all the front plastics and handlebars? I don't need the headlight or windscreen though.

Found a used engine that I am putting in right now. If it turns out to be shot as well, I will repost in here or start a new post.
