Hi guys , I noticed an oil leak from the Generator cover, after removing the cover I found all the internals covered with oil.
I expected this be dry. After degreasing and drying everything, I noticed  a small oil galley in the lower section of the gasket,
so I presume that was the culprit , it all good now with the new gasket.... That maybe why the engine had a miss.

The generator is not a generator at all ... its an alternator, and it is swimming in oil. The starter clutch gear will fry itself in short order if it was dry.
I hope you still have oil behind that cover ... else you'd be soon shopping for a bunch of parts behind that cover.

Cool.
