No longer needed: Generator Rotor / Flywheel

Update: Getting a new (used) engine, so I'm good on this now.

Mine's got the glue coming apart from the magnets. Oh, and I managed to ruin the internal threading of mine trying to pull it. Anyone have one for sale?

Glue - usually the ends of the magnets have it flaking off. That is normal on every one I have seen. Magnets were still solid.

As for the threads - probably used the wrong thing? Those are fine threads for something that big. And metric. You might be able to re-tap them but never tried that. I had one once with slightly messed up threads. I managed to carefully run the correct bolt in there after many tries. Then it cleaned itself up because it seems the bolt was harder than the rotor.

If you're worried about the glue - don't. Leave it. It will be fine. (We won't have any spare motors until spring.)

Ok, well, I'll see what I can do with the threads.

In the meantime, a replacement one if anyone has one would be ideal. Thanks guys.

PM'd you about it...... but for those that need to follow the plot line......

There might be a bottom end that can be parted out.
We took off the top for Gorilla's bike (a winter rebuild).
I suppose, since I have 5 engines and 3 bikes to build, if you came over and helped we can open up that motor and part it out. I can't offer guarantees everything in there is good, but if you help with the work and if it is good you can have it.
