Gonna give it to dry_humor.

Part of the reason I wanted a giant flag was because "Your bike with a flag in the background" was done already.

Current challenge!  "Your bike on a sports field or court".

wasn't cook co IL by chance was it?

Pfff... More like Crook-County Illinois.  I got hit with a $175 tax last month for the bike that I bought in November last year under the stated heading "Use tax on non-retailer transfers of motor vehicles."   :flipoff:
They be makin' stuff up just to get your money.

... But why do you ask?

Yep, Watcher is a Chicago GS'er.

Indeed, are there many Chicago area riders here?

this one CAN'T be that hard, or is it just starting to take a turn for winter for the other regulars?

tcmia

I just read this. Rode by one yesterday.

I think the latter.

As for myself, I've been really busy and by the time I have free time enough to go do a picture challenge its dark already...

Around here you just can't drive onto a field. Gates, fences, other stuff preventing you from doing that. You can get close to the field, but not on it.

Does a golf course count as a sports field?

appears that this is one is an actual "challenge"  :thumb:

golf is a sport, so i would consider a course a field.

I'd say yes  :thumb:

Also, I know this challenge has been completed and has been offered by me, but I felt like sharing.

Caught the flag at a good time on my ride home from work tonight.

LOL, thanks

I do see eagles flying around a nearby unincorporated field on occasion (or are they hawks/falcons? :dunno_black: ), but not as often as I'd like and definitely probably not bald eagles...

I had one pass over the street so close to me it scared me!  I don't think I'd be exaggerating much if I said that if I were standing on my pegs I might have been able to reach up and touch it!  It was quite large, and either black or dark brown.  It was shadowed by the sun so it could have been any color, really.  Possibly a young bald eagle based on it's size, but more likely an adult golden eagle.

I have been fortunate enough (or unfortunate enough depending on how you look at it) that a family of bald eagles had claimed a nest at a small lake in the local forest preserves where I ride my mountain-bike.  Was awesome to hear, and I got a chance to see 3 perched on a piece of dead tree sticking out of the water when passing by one time, but due to state law there was erected a 200m no-go-zone around the nest which meant that some trails were temporarily shut down.

Anyway, sorry to skew focus.

ahhh but fences are made to be ridden around! Let's see if I can put the dual-sport to work tomorrow...
When in doubt, empty the magazine.

FINALLY!!! Thank you Banzai.

and the new tag is....?

Banzai

The new challenge is:
Your bike and a small British sports car. Think Lotus, Caterham, Sprite, Midget. Definitely not large like Jaguar or Aston Martin.
Wherever you may be, there you are.
