so lets say your at your friends house and you get drunk and pass out. The next morning you wake up, pants around your ankles, massive hangover and you cant remember where you put your lighter. (not an actual experience of mine, i wake up with my pants on ) well no worries cause i discovered a way to light up your cig with your bike, although given the method i would recommend doing it as a last resort. Start up your GS500 and put it on choke to get the bike nice and hot, like maybe for a good 2 min. Next, get out a cigarette and place the end on the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine. If its hot enough, then your cigarette will light up cherry red and you can smoke away!

Lol i figured it out one night when i was at my house. I was having a couple beers an working on my bike and i couldnt find my lighter. I wouldve just lit it off the stove if nobody was home. Anyways after getting the whole thing back together i started her up and remembered how hot an exhaust manifold can get, mostly because i accidentally burned myself on it while trying to tighten up the bolts (they came loose during a ride one time). A lightbulb lit up in my head, so after leaving it on choke for a bit i tried sticking it on the manifold and voila! it lit up!

Or....you could just use a shark with a laser on it's head

ive used the headers off my Volkswagen beetle a decade and a half back.

Stick a disposable butane lighter in your tool kit. I avoid using the choke any more than absolutely necessary to minimize excess fuel in the combustion chambers which will degraade your oil over time.

My pothead friends are geniuses when they don't have a pipe. Ive seen my friend make a bong out of a didgeridoo, a pen and a Gatorade bottle. Not that I condone such behavior.

why go through all that, when an apple works just fine

with the didgeridoo being about 5 1/2 ft, you can get more smoke in you and get higher, so long as you have a good seal in the gatorade bottle. plus we had no apples...
