So i changed my grips , and i regret to say, i should have been more conservative, with the use of grip glue. For two weeks it was fine, but after some wet rainy days here the throttle is pretty gummy. Any body got any suggestions on how to make the cleanup job go better?

Unscrew the right control cluster (start switch, on/off).  The throttle is held in by the cluster, and the throttle cable hooks up to your throttle just like the clutch cable, with the little metal thingie at the end of the cable that fits in a hole.  Notice how the cable is threaded, then unhook your throttle and take it off your handlebars and clean it Hope that helps!

Eh, but you probably knew that already... use rubbing alcohol to remove excess??  Yeah, that's a good tip!

Thanks! I was debating which end of the throttle cable would be less of a PITA to remove.  

this happened to me

after installing new grips, the outside end of the grip had actually relaxed a bit, enough that it was actully over the bar-end slider and creating friction, my throttle then felt sticky but after adjusting the grip further up the rotating sheath it was well again
