Hello everyone,
Well, I just got my new 2004 GS500F about 2 weeks ago and I already want to make some modifications.....does anyone have any ideas of what I should modify first?  Also, what types of mods should I give her?  Any input would be great.
Thanks

Progressive springs.

Air filter/Re-Jet/Exhaust.

Rear shock.

Shorter transmission ratio (smaller drive sprocket).

Depending on what you wnat to improve.

Since yours is a new model, tires are less of an issue.

pantablo

do this one RIGHT NOW!

pfft 3rd wave and two tone are so much cooler than any of that mod junk.  oh... you mean motorcycle mods...  well yeah then, go for the suspension first, then work on gearing and rejetting.  of course the obligatory fender chop.

What kind of rejet kit do you all recommend?

we're cheap so we suggest a do it your self jet kit

well, buy jets from a motorcycle shop, but a 2 or 4 #4 washers to raise the needles with and maybe a k&n pod filter...

my setup is 150 mains and 40 pilots (you need 2 of each), 2 washers under each needle and k&n pod filter

some people use 125 mains and 40 pilots

What GUR said just to make it clear...
The mian jet is 125 if using stock air box and UNI or stock paper filter, and 150 for K&N pods and no airbox. of course its all on a 89-00 bike. the numbers are different for a 01+
Cool.

Srinath is right - 01+ is different -- Go with # 20 pilots (stock is 17.5), go up one on the mid-main (I think that the stock is 62.5 - not sure, check with the dealer) and up as indicated on the main jet.  Skip the washer if you go up one on the mid-main.
