Looking to upgrade my suspension, I weigh about 235 pounds without gear currently, so the stock shock I've had is a no go anymore.
No more bikes :(

woah! .. ease up there turbo! ...  :D

unless you are deadset on the katana 750 shock ... try instead a katana 600 shock .. im 290lbs ish and have the 600 one .. originally had it on preload 5 but have since wound it back down to 2 .. and its still more than enough for general riding!

your weight range i'd possibly reckon even a r6 shock .. but they are a 'teensy' bit more fiddly to install (shush guys!.. with the bolt issue thing!) ..

unless of course you are running into supply issues with looking for 600 shocks...? ... i found one on ebay for $25 .. and that was a '00 model! ...

so .. genuinely... why you want a 750 shock? ... personal pref? ... perceived need? ... other? ... just curious!  :thumb:

Oh just personal and aesthetic preference, I do enjoy a stiffer rider (yeah make all the jokes jokes you want haha), and the remote reservoir, as many problems as it can possibly introduce provides me with greater ability to tune my suspension, but by no means am I close off to the idea of a 600 shock, frankly I might buy both and just compare the two.

Oh and I just think remote reservoirs look bitchin  :thumb:

yeah.. i did look at the 750 one also... but at the time all that was available was one that looked like it had been in a landslide with a lot of rocks!  :icon_rolleyes:

.. 600 still has damper control (4 settings) in the top bolt knuckle area ... and i did briefly ride with mine on preload 7 ..  :icon_eek: .. not again unless its on a nice smooth racetrack!!! ..

anyway .. i get your idea...  :thumb:

Kat 750 shock isn't remote reservoir. Its remote cabe operated preload.
The post 97 600 and 750 are both remote reservoir.
So 600 or 750 ... depending on year its the same almost.
Cool.
